Water service shutdown on a portion of Menehune Road on December 12

WAIMEA – The Department of Water (DOW) announces a water service shutdown scheduled on a portion of Menehune Road; from, and including, Menehune Place to the end of Menehune Road. This also includes Kalo Road and Gay Road. Water service will be shut off on Thursday, Dec. 12 from approximately 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, while a new service lateral is installed.

DOW’s outreach and education program wins 2024 Excellence Award

LIHUE – For the fourth year in a row, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognized the Department of Water, County of Kaua`i (DOW) with the WaterSense Excellence Award for Excellence in Outreach and Education, recognizing the utility’s commitment to go above and beyond to help consumers become more water efficient. EPA presented the 2024 national awards during a ceremony.
